Israel's Peace Partners

How can there be ANY hope of peace whatsoever with the palestinians if they continue to indoctrinate their people…including children…to mindlessly hate Jews?

…And I challenge you to show me anything comparable being done by Israelis to breed hatred for palestinians…

Palestinian Leader Abbas Whines to U.S. Over Building Inspectors in Jerusalem…He Should Be Thanking Israel for the Favor

Written by Marty Roberts on June 22, 2010 – 4:57 pm -

Silwan

Silwan

Let’s look at the facts here…

The Municipal government of Jerusalem has made a decision regarding building permits…and the United States of America feels it has a right to interfere!!! How ridiculous is this? Doesn’t Obama and Co. have anything better to do than supervise Jerusalem’s building Commission? (Like clean up a bunch of oil that is destroying the East Coast of America) Apparently the government of the United States feels that it is FAR more important to become involved in the day-to-day decisions of Jerusalem, like what building were built WITH permits and which were built WITHOUT permits…I think that Jerusalem’s building inspectors can probably do a much better job of it…

But here’s the thing…

Jerusalem is going to build a National Archeological Park on this biblical historic site. A park that will also include hotels, restaurants and other tourist attractions. There happens to be about 88 Arab homes built on the site…homes BUILT WITHOUT BUILDING PERMITS, therefore, ILLEGAL!..So what is the Municipality of Jerusalem doing? They say that 22 of these illegal buildings must be destroyed…the Park cannot be built with them standing there, BUT…They have retroactively APPROVED the other 66 ILLEGAL ARAB HOMES!!!

Why isn’t Abbas THANKING Israel instead of whining to Big-Daddy America?

Abbas appeals to US over Silwan construction plan

Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat says Palestinian president contacted Washington to urge US to take action to cancel King’s Garden construction plan in east Jerusalem. ‘US must take swift action against this provocation,’ Abbas’ spokesman says

Reprinted from YNetNews.com

While Washington has already stated that the construction plan that entails the demolition of 22 Arab homes in Silwan damages trust between Israel and the Palestinians, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is not making do with statements, and is looking for action.

Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat told AFP on Tuesday that Abbas asked the United States to take action to cancel the King’s Garden project in east Jerusalem, part of which includes the demolition of Arab homes.

“I sent a notice this morning from the Palestinian president to the US in which he asked the American administration to intervene directly so that the Israeli project is canceled,” said Erekat.

Erekat also said, “We vehemently denounce the decision, which will result in the demolition of 22 houses in Silwan.”

According to him, “Israel continues its settlements policy in east Jerusalem and threatens to harm US efforts to promote proximity talks.” Erekat added that this will be the main topic of discussion in the meeting between Jordanian King Abdullah and Abbas that is slated to be held later Tuesday.

Abbas’ spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said that the decision to destroy the homes in east Jerusalem “is a return to the Israeli policy that tries to place obstacles that will damage American efforts to promote negotiations. The US must take swift action against this provocation.”

On the other hand, the Prime Minister’s Office on Sunday night clarified that the demolition and development plan in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan was in a “very initial stage” and that its final approval would require many discussions. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his hope that all sides would reach “an acceptable solution guaranteeing that the law will be honored.”

The plan’s approval by the Jerusalem District Planning and Construction Committee on Sunday sparked a row, just two weeks before Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with US President Barack Obama.

This is a very initial procedure,” the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement. “The plan will face discussions and objections both at the municipality’s local committee and at the Interior Ministry’s district committee, where the residents’ stand will be presented.”

Guantanamo Saudi Prisoners Returned to Militancy

Written by Marty Roberts on June 21, 2010 – 4:59 pm -

Gitmo

Gitmo

I hope that Obama and Co. are paying attention (even if they DO NOT watch “24″)…You might want to think about this before letting terrorists free…And don’t even THINK about closing Gitmo, OK?

Same holds true for Israel… KEEP THE TERRORISTS IN JAIL!!!

Reprinted from Reuters

RIYADH – Around 25 former detainees from Guantanamo Bay camp
returned to militancy after going through a rehabilitation program for
Al-Qaeda members in Saudi Arabia, a security official said Saturday(19
June).
The United States has sent back around 120 Saudis from the detention camp at
the US naval base in Cuba. Saudi Arabia has put the returned prisoners along
with other Al-Qaeda suspects through a rehabilitation program which includes
religious re-education by clerics and financial help to start a new life.
The scheme, which some 300 extremists have attended, is part of
anti-terrorism efforts after Al-Qaeda staged attacks inside the Kingdom from
2003-06.
Around 11 Saudis from Guantanamo have gone to Yemen, an operating base for
Al-Qaeda, while others have been jailed again or killed after attending the
program, said Abdulrahman Al-Hadlaq, Director General of the General
Administration for Intellectual Security overseeing the rehabilitation.
He pinpointed strong personal ties among former prisoners but also tough US
tactics as the reason why some 20 percent of the returned Saudis relapsed
into militancy compared to 9.5 percent of other participants in the
rehabilitation program.
“Those guys from other groups didn’t suffer torture before, the
non-Guantanamos (participants). Torturing is the most dangerous thing in
radicalization. You have more extremist people if you have more torture,”
Hadlaq told reporters in a rare briefing about Saudi anti-terrorism efforts.
Despite the setback with Guantanamo prisoners, Saudi Arabia regards the
rehabilitation scheme, which kicks in after militants have served a prison
term, as a success. “There is no doubt that there is an effect,” Hadlaq
said.

Elton John Performs in Tel Aviv Amid Gaza Conflict

Elton John showed his support for the people of Israel during a performance in Tel Aviv on Thursday, June 17 when he took aim at artists who had pulled shows in the country in protest of the government’s alleged treatment of Palestinians

Reprinted from Peace FM Online

The “Rocket Man” star refused to bow to pressure and follow in the footsteps of musicians like Pixies and Elvis Costello and scrap his concert in response to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine over the Gaza strip.

In May, rocker Costello canceled two planned gigs in Tel Aviv on June 30 and July 1, insisting it was “a matter of instinct and conscience” to axe the shows following an Israeli military raid on a flotilla of ships attempting to carry aid supplies to Palestine. But John pressed ahead with his concert at the Ramat Gan stadium on Thursday, defiantly telling the 50,000-strong crowd, “Shalom, we are so happy to be back here! Ain’t nothing (sic) gonna stop us from coming, baby!”

And he briefly addressed the canceled concert controversy by calling on his fellow singers to put aside their political allegiances to unite fans of all cultures. He said, “Musicians spread love and peace, and bring people together. That’s what we do. We don’t cherry-pick our conscience.

Israeli President Shimon Peres..”Would Gaza leaders denounce terror, stop building tunnels, shooting missiles, release Gilad Shalit, there would be no need for any sort of closure or blockade”

Written by Marty Roberts on June 20, 2010 – 4:10 pm -

Shimon Peres

Shimon Peres

It isn’t very often that you will find yours truly supporting the work of Israeli President Shimon Peres, but when he is right on, he is “right on”…

No public figure in Israel represents the desire for peace with the palestinians more than Shimon Peres. He is the architect of the awefull “peace” agreements, like Oslo, and has supported the incessant retreat of Israel before her foes, as well as abandonment of flourishing Jewish communities…all in the interest of his pursuit for peace with the palestinians, his “New Middle East”, which has turned out to be just lots more of the same “Old”, hateful Middle East…

Even Peres supports Israel’s legal naval blockade of Gaza and offers the simple formula for its removal…

“Would Gaza leaders denounce terror, stop building tunnels, shooting missiles, release Gilad Shalit, there would be no need for any sort of closure or blockade”

Well said, President Peres…

‘No need for flotillas if Gaza turns to peace’

‘No need for flotillas if Gaza turns to peace’

President Peres tells Jewish Agency assembly, ‘Would Gaza leaders denounce terror, stop building tunnels, shooting missiles, release Gilad Shalit, there would be no need for any sort of closure or blockade’

Reprinted from YNetnews.com Ronen Medzini

President Shimon Peres on Sunday urged Hamas to abandon the path of terror and said that if it were to do so, there would be no need for a blockade on the Gaza Strip.

“If Gaza would turn to peace, she would have peace and there would be no need for flotillas,” the president said at the start of the annual Jewish Agency assembly in Jerusalem.

“We withdrew from Gaza entirely and no Israeli was left in the Gaza Strip,” he said.

“We did not understand then, nor do we understand now, why after evacuating Gaza, the rulers of Gaza started to fire thousands of missiles against civilian life in Israel. For what reason? For what purpose?” the president wondered.

“The question remains unanswered today,” he continued, “Would Gaza agree to peace, to negotiations instead? Would Gaza leaders denounce terror, stop the building of tunnels and shooting missiles, stop attempting to kidnap Israeli soldiers and release Gilad Shalit who was abducted on Israeli territory, there would be no need for any sort of closure or blockade.”

Peres said attempts have been made recently to de-legitimize Israel. ” De-legitimizing Israel means to legitimize, directly or indirectly, the lawless organization like al-Qaeda, Hamas and Hezbollah and their overt and covert supporters, dictatorial regimes who kill and arrest their own people without count, without human respect.”

Peres added, “Maybe some of us feel lonely, more than ever… But the truth is that we are not alone. I believe that President Obama says and means that Israel’s security is America’s top priority.

“I believe that Europe with its own experience and in its wisdom will turn to the people of Gaza and the West Bank and tell them that peace depends on them negotiating and is better than shooting.”

‘Use more leverage against Hamas’

Welfare and Social Services Minister Isaac Herzog, ahead of the weekly cabinet meeting, also commented on the flotillas planning to sail to the Strip. “The flotillas approaching Gaza should be directed to Ashdod and explain to the world that Israel has changed its policy on the entrance of civilian goods to the Strip and there is therefore no need for these flotillas,” he said.

“The decision by European Union foreign minister gave Israel grounds for its stance and recognized the security interest of preventing smugglings,” he added.

Herzog further claimed that the time has come “to apply additional leverage against Hamas,” and called for harsher treatment of Hamas prisoners. He said the matter of Gilad Shalit warrants harsher terms for the organization’s criminals.

“Israel is an enlightened country with the law as its guiding principle. There are enough things that can be done and I am saying this as someone who comes from the peace camp.”

Tourism Minister Stas Misezhnikov addressed the flotilla issue with a firmer tone, “It doesn’t matter if they are women, men or pets. These are enemy states and they should be treated as a real threat.”

He said, “We must not allow these flotillas to reach Gaza, both in light of the siege and in light of the timing. We stopped the previous flotillas, and we must not allow this one to come. Furthermore, there is a flotilla coming from Iran, and, contrary to Turkey, where they were ‘peace activists’, this is an enemy state. Even the ship from Lebanon, certainly belongs to Hezbollah. We will use all force necessary with the smallest number of casualties.”

Obama, The United States and The Western World Have Cast Their Lot With Hamas

Written by Marty Roberts on June 18, 2010 – 10:58 am -

Is It True?…How Can That Be?…

New Show/Podcast!!!

Hamas

Recent events leave very little doubt as to the current reality…The US and the Western World have chosen to back the terrorist, jihadist, Islamist ruling power in Gaza…Hamas.

Obama and Ayres

Do Obama friends and leading “Free Gaza” radicals Bill Ayres, Bernadine Dohrn and Jodie Evans have anything to with it?…Maybe not, but a look at who these leading pro-Hamas activists are and who they were gives considerable insight into the motivations behind those pushing Israel to open Gaza’s seaport to Iranian weapons…Hear the facts on this show…

Dohrn

The recent actions of Israel’s so-called Western allies, Great Britain, Australia, Germany and Poland, demonstrate clear support for Hamas…And, as to the European Union, there can be no question…

So, why is this?…Jerusalem Post columnist, Carolyn Glick, gives three possible, plausible explanations…Naivete’, Jew-hatred, or fear…Take your pick…

Plus, Is there a reference to the BP oil spill in the Talmud (Sanhedrin)?…Something to do with Messiah???…

How Hamas rises in the West

It is not surprising that Obama is siding with Hamas. Here’s why

Reprinted from JWR Carolyn Glick (Jerusalem Post)

Since the navy’s May 31 takeover of the Turkish-Hamas flotilla, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his advisers have deliberated around the clock about how to contend with the US-led international stampede against Israel. But their ultimate decision to form an investigatory committee led by a retired Supreme Court justice and overseen by foreign observers indicates that they failed to recognize the nature of the international campaign facing us today.

In the Middle East, Things Are RARELY What They Seem to Be

Written by Marty Roberts on June 15, 2010 – 1:25 pm -

Lovers of Peace…Be Careful What You Wish For!!…

New Show/Podcast!!!

middle east region

The Middle East..What You Think is Rarely True

Israel’s Arab neighbors are indifferent to the possibility of a nuclear-armed Iran, right? WRONG!!…And they are ready to help arch-enemy ISRAEL stop the mullahs,,,
The palestinians are united in their desire for a new homeland…of course!!…Wrong again…Listen to the facts and the historical reasons why…
All of the nations of the Middle East (except Israel, of course) are united in their desire to support the palestinians and have them achieve their goal of an independent state…Well, right…except that NONE of them want it to happen!!!…Listen to understand why the Middle East countries would like nothing better that to NEVER see the creation of a palestinian state, Islamist or otherwise (with the possible exception of Syria, who simply could not care less one way or the other)
Finally, everyone would agree that the blockade on Gaza MUST be removed…Gaza MUST be opened up, correct?…Well, yes, everybody, that is, except for the countries in the MIddle East, like Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and, oh yeah, don’t forget the ruling palestinian Fatah Party themselves.

So, if you really want peace, if you really hate war…better be careful about your campaign to open up Gaza…Better be careful about allowing the current delicate balance of power in the Middle East to be upset…In short…Pray for Israel’s strength…

All this and more on “The Marty Roberts Show”…

Humanitarians and Peace Activists Take Note…Even Palestinian Authority President Abbas is IN FAVOR of Israel’s Sea Blockade of Gaza!!!

Written by Marty Roberts on June 14, 2010 – 2:24 pm -

abbas and obama

Abbas to Obama..Maintain Israeli Gaza Blockade

The world is so anxious to come out strongly against Israel, they don’t even listen to the so-called “good guys” amongst the palestinians (they are NOT really)…Abbas and his Fatah party. Even the leader of the “moderate” wing of the ruling parties of the Palestinian Authority are STRONGLY AGAINST Israel removing the sea blockade of Gaza. Even THEY realize that it is in NOBODY’S interest except the terrorists in Hamas to allow massive weapons shipments to arrive via the sea into the hands of the Hamas murderers. Even THEY realize that the only way to minimize this massive weapons aquisition from Iran and Co. is through Israel (and Egypt)’s sea blockade of Gaza.

“Peace” Activists and “Humanitarians”…please pay attention…Israel’s sea blockade of Gaza is a GOOD thing…It IS humanitarian, in that it prevents lethal weaponry from falling into the hands of murderous terrorists…It SUPPORTS the interests of peace, in that it supports the more moderate leaders of the palestinians while denying power to the more extreme…

Abbas to Obama: I’m against lifting the Gaza naval blockade

The Palestinian president reportedly told Obama that lifting the naval blockade of Gaza would bolster Hamas, a move that shouldn’t be done at this stage

Reprinted from Haaretz.com

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is opposed to lifting the naval blockade of the Gaza Strip because this would bolster Hamas, according to what he told United States President Barack Obama during their meeting at the White House Wednesday. Egypt also supports this position.

The issue of the Gaza flotilla and lifting the Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip was the main topic of discussion between Obama and Abbas last Wednesday night.

European diplomats updated by the White House on the talks said that Abbas had stressed to Obama the need of opening the border crossings into the Gaza Strip and the easing of the siege, but only in ways that do not bolster Hamas.

One of the points that Abbas raised is that the naval blockade imposed by Israel on the Strip should not be lifted at this stage. The European diplomats said Egypt has made it clear to Israel, the U.S and the European Union that it is also opposes the lifting of the naval blockade because of the difficulty in inspecting the ships that would enter and leave the Gaza port.

Abbas told Obama that actions easing the blockage should be done with care and undertaken gradually so it will not be construed as a victory for Hamas. The Palestinian leader also stressed that the population in the Gaza Strip must be supported, and that pressure should be brought to bear on Israel to allow more goods, humanitarian assistance and building materials for reconstruction. Abbas, however, said this added aid can be done by opening land crossings and other steps that do not include the lifting of the naval blockade.

Music Video: Rapper SHI 360 – Response to the flotilla events, searching for justice

Written by Marty Roberts on June 14, 2010 – 2:07 pm -

Lyrics: Guy “Ruff” Gabriel, Shai “SHI 360″ Haddad
Music, production, mix and mastering: Avishay “EviSh” Sapir

Lyrics:
Chorus x 2:
When the world’s gone lost
We’re gonna help you find the way
Too much drama in my eyes that I can’t hide
When the world’s gone lost
I don’t plan to fall with it

Verse 1 – Ruff:
I’m on the wrong side of the map, activists with knifes got me trapped
Surrounded by hostility, trying not to react
Flotillas of hatred, we’re caught in the matrix
I’m trying to survive, they’re pulling the same tricks
This international hypocrisy won’t get us far
One-sided media puts us behind bars
Nations with no minorities, judging with no authority
They’re gonna tell me how to deal with what’s in front of me
What about Sudan and North Korea? Could they care less?!
They wanna boycott us, they’re gonna share less
We’re lying on the fence for the rest of the world
Provide a buffer zone while overseas they get us sold
I know my people can be divided at times
Got too many opinions with too much shit on our minds
You can hate us now, we ain’t gonna fight it
You’re only making us stronger and more united

Chorus:
When the world’s gone lost
We’re gonna help you find the way
Too much drama in my eyes that I can’t hide
When the world’s gone lost
I don’t plan to fall with it

[Video show Helen Thomas saying Jews should go back to Poland]

Verse 2 – SHI 360:
But I’m already home and the media distorts your vision
Got blind followers in full submission
Provocators, they just wanna instigate
And create the image you love to hate
You can talk about humanitarian aid
Politically affiliated IHH
Guess who’s more popular? Ardouan
Fuck left and right, we should all stand as one
You really thought we were gonna let ‘em in
When just yesterday they tried to bring Karin
A – was that aid or to arm Jihad
Wanna talk about aid?? What about Gilad??
Yeah, the horse is trojan, doors not open
I gotta do whatever to protect my home and
I’m a peace dealer, my flow killa
But no peace came at me on the flotilla

Chorus x 2:
When the world’s gone lost
We’re gonna help you find the way
Too much drama in my eyes that I can’t hide
When the world’s gone lost
I don’t plan to fall with it

Israeli Policemen Shot in Cold Blood…Another Reminder That Israel is in a War With the Palestinians

Written by Marty Roberts on June 14, 2010 – 2:01 pm -

palestinian terrorist shooting

Israeli Policemen Shot in Cold Blood

These Israeli cops were merely doing their job…on their way to their assigned posts in Hebron on route 60. They were ambushed and shot…Cold-blooded murder…

Israel has no peace partners…We are at war…We MUST win the war…Don’t even start with “Two state solutions”…

Police officer killed and two wounded in West Bank shooting

A police officer was killed and two others wounded in a shooting attack on their vehicle outside the West Bank city of Hebron on Monday morning, police said.

All three were evacuated by helicopter to Hadassa hospital in Jerusalem, emergency services said, as the army began scouring the area for the attackers.

A doctor at Hadassa said the most severely wounded officer was in critical condition when he arrived at the hospital after being shot in the stomach. He later died of his wounds.

Army Radio reported that a fourth officer received treatment – possibly for shock.

Gunmen opened fire on the police vehicle as it traveled on road 60, north of Hebron, carrying officers to duty stations in the city.

Initial investigations suggest the shooting was a planned ambush.

“This was definitely a terrorist attack. It was carried out on an ordinary police vehicle and forces are now combing the scene,” said police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld.

Settler anger

Following the shooting, the head of the Civil Administration, the Israeli military authority that governs the West Bank, accused Palestinian Authority leaders of not enough to prevent violence. Brig-Gen. Yoav Mordechai said the attack was a “serious incident” that could not be overlooked.

Settler leaders turned on the government, saying the attack was a result of government moves to lift restrictions on Palestinians in the West Bank.

Michael Ben-Ari, a Knesset member for the right-wing National Union party, said: “The writing was on the wall. Opening roadblocks encourages terror and gives a free hand to terrorists.”

A spokesman for the Yesha Council, which represents the settler movement, said: “Sharing security responsibilities with the Palestinians, as the IDF has done across Judea and Samaria [the West Bank] and in Hebron in particular, cannot bring security and Israel’s soldiers and citizens are paying the price in blood.”

According to B’Tselem, a human rights group, the number of manned checkpoints inside the West Bank, went down from 63 to 44 in the past year. Eighteen of the checkpoints are in Hebron.

Second shooting in weeks

Last month two Israelis were hurt by broken glass when bullets hit their car on a different stretch of the same road.

The Imad Mughniyeh Group of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility for that attack.

In March 2009, two policemen were killed when gunmen opened fire on their car on road 90, also in the West Bank.

Proud American Jew Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi is a Winner

Written by Marty Roberts on June 8, 2010 – 5:41 pm -

mike grinder mizrachi

Mike “The Grinder” Mizrachi is one American Jew who is proud of his heritage…and proud of Israel…

He won what is perhaps the most prestigious event at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, the $50,000 entry Players Championship, which tests the top poker players in the world in eight different forms of poker.

The final table consisted of two Jews (Mizrachi and his brother, Robert), a Russian, and a former Bible salesman…but Mike “The Grinder” came out on top, but only after personally knocking out his poker-playing sibling.

At the bracelet award ceremony following the event, Mizrachi chose to have the National Anthem of Israel, “HaTikvah” played…

Keep up the great work, Grinder…Israel is proud of you, too…

MICHAEL MIZRACHI CAPTURES WSOP POKER PLAYER’S CHAMPIONSHIP

The inaugural Poker Player’s Championship was won by Michael “the Grinder” Mizrachi

Reprinted from WSOP.com

He has been one of the most successful tournament pros over the last six years, now with nearly $9 million in accumulated tournament winnings.

“Grinding is the Mizrachi style, he said.”

Mizrachi had previously won just about every major title in poker except a WSOP gold bracelet. “If I was going to win a gold bracelet, I definitely wanted to win this event, said Mizrachi.” Today, he achieved that milestone by pulling off a masterful victory in the biggest buy-in tournament of the year.

The final table included Mizrachi playing against his brother Robert Mizrachi, who ended up finishing fifth. “There’s no competition between us. We root for each other all the time.” In an interesting turn, it was Michael who eliminated Robert in fifth place. “At least I put his chips to good use.”

This marked the highest finish by two family members in WSOP history. Three different nations were represented at the final table, including the United States, Sweden, and Russia. “The Grinder,” cheered on by much of the Mizrachi family, won $1,559,046. In addition to the coveted WSOP gold bracelet, Mizrachi was also presented with the Chip Reese Memorial Trophy.

“To win Chip Reese’s Trophy is really special to me. I hope to be able to honor him in the way he deserves.”

When asked about his previous status being listed near-universally as one of the top players never to have won a WSOP gold bracelet: “Well, take me off the list, then.”

About the newest WSOP bracelet winner:

“The Grinder” is from Miramar, FL. He is 29 and was born in Miami, FL. Mizrachi is a professional poker player. He has been playing full-time since 2004. Prior to playing poker, Mizrachi was a college student. He was studying to become a doctor, but decided instead to pursue a poker career.

Mizrachi is married. He has three children. Mizrachi’s father is of Iraqi-Jewish decent. Mizrachi and most of his family are fluent in Hebrew. Mirzrachi has requested the Israeli anthem for his bracelet ceremony, in part because today’s other bracelet honoree is from the U.S. he is choosing to honor his family heritage.

Although Mizrachi has been one of poker’s top tournament players over the past several years, he has run poorly during the past year or so. Mizrachi’s financial pressures were widely-documented in the media and in various social media networks. The personal setbacks created enormous tension coming into this year’s WSOP. However, Mizrachi remained focused and won what many consider to be not only the toughest competition in poker, but one of the most prestigious, as well.

Prior to this event, Mizrachi had won just about every major title in poker except a WSOP gold bracelet. Mizrachi was Card Player Magazine’s “Player of the Year” in 2006. Mizrachi’s first recorded tournament cash took place in March 2004.

Mizrachi collected $1,559,046 for first place in the 2010 Poker Player’s Championship. He was presented with his first WSOP gold bracelet.

According to official records, Mizrachi now has 20 cashes, four final table appearances, and one win. His career WSOP earnings now total $2,156,322. Mizrachi’s last WSOP-related cash took place more than a year ago in the WSOP Circuit Main Event championship held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. He finished second in that tournament.

Mizrachi is called “the Grinder” due to his never-give-up mentality. Mizrachi certainly does not fit the mold of the traditional poker grinder, however. The term is usually meant to describe a tight player. Mizrachi is actually one of poker’s most aggressive and unpredictable tournament pros.

Other members of the Mizrachi family have adopted the “Grinder” moniker. His is married to Mrs. Grinder. His mother is Mama Grinder. His children each have been called Baby Grinder at various times.

Mizrachi stated he followed the advice of some other poker pros — including J.C. Tran, Mike Matusow, and Robert Mizrachi. At one point when things were not going well at the final table and Mizrachi was on a break, Matusow encouraged Mizrachi to do jumping jacks in a back hallway to keep the blood flowing during the long tournament.

Mizrachi is the younger brother of fellow tournament pro Robert Mizrachi, a former WSOP gold bracelet winner.

Both Mizrachi brothers reached the final table. This was only the third time in WSOP history that two close family members had made it to a final table together. They become the highest-finishing family duo in history, eclipsing the 1995 feat by brother-sister combo Annie Duke (6th) and Howard Lederer (9th) in the Pot-Limit Hold’em event. The other duo to make a final table was brothers Ross Boatman (7th) and Barney Boatman in the 2002 Pot Limit Omaha competition.

The only other brothers to both hold WSOP gold bracelets are Grant and Blair Hinkle, from the Kansas City, MO area.

The final table consisted of three former WSOP gold bracelet winners: John Juanda (4 wins), Daniel Alaei (2 wins), and Robert Mizrachi (1 win). Three different nations were represented at the final table: the United States, Sweden, and Russia.

The final table began eight-handed. This was due to the mix of games played the previous four days, which necessitated an eight-player format. Final table participants ranged in age from 23 to 38. In what is believed to be his first time as a final table’s “senior” player, John Juanda fit the bill as the elder statesman. The youngest player at the final table was David Baker.

The runner up was Vladimir Schmelev, from St. Petersburg, Russia. Schmelev had previously cashed in several European tournaments. This was his best showing in a WSOP event to date.

The third-place finisher was David Oppenheim (Los Angeles, CA).
