Soul-searching (Cheshbon Nefesh in Hebrew) is an integral, important part of the Jewish religion…
Unfortunately, those of the religious and political spectrum least likely to engage in such activities, the non-observant radical Left-Wingers, are MOST likely to try and use it as a weapon against their political and ideological enemies…
Those enemies being the religiously observant and the politically conservative…
The groups that, in fact, engage in soul-searching in a systematic and regular fashion…
Elul
We will soon be entering the month of Elul…
The month of the Jewish calendar that is supposed to be dedicated to the process of soul-searching and repentance…
An accounting of our relationships with our fellow man…
AND our relationship with our Creator…
Oppenheimer and Peace Now
An organization that has very little to do with the achievement of real peace…
And very little to do with love of Israel and love of fellow Jews…
And an awful lot to say about soul-searching, while doing very little of it themselves…
And it is sorely needed…

The world is worried about an imminent humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian Authority-controlled areas…Hamas, who was elected by the Palestinians to run the Palestinian Authority, refuses to acknowledge Israel’s right to exist…They continue to wage a daily terror war against the Jewish State…This has lead to a cutoff of some of the international funding for the terrorist organization…
What to do?…Seems obvious to Marty…
And then there’s Iran…Making the time pass with more and more yapping, in order to get the last bit of work done on their nuclear weapons…Blah, blah, blah…Let’s talk some more…
