Iran Plans to Nuke Israel…Will We Let It Happen?
Written by Marty Roberts on February 24, 2010 – 7:18 pm -Can they make it any clearer? Iran is trying to develop an atomic bomb. They intend to use it to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. It says so in black and white. Time to stop them…NOW…

MEMRI..The Middle East Research Institute
The editorial explained that Israel’s raison d’être is the illusion that it can provide absolute security for the Jewish people, and that it has security supremacy. Once Iran possesses nuclear weapons and shifts the balance of power in the Middle East, it states, this will be end of Israeli society.
The following is the translation of the article:
“The Zionist Regime Must Continue to Preserve this Illusion of ‘Absolute Security’ within the Borders of Israel”
“Since its establishment in 1948, the central pillar on which Israel is founded has been ‘creating a secure territory for the Jewish people, in order to protect it from any possible danger.’ This issue is so important to the elected officials of the Israeli regime that in the country’s 62 years of existence, they have dealt harshly with any element, [even] the most minor, that could possibly strike at or harm ‘the famous Paradise.’
“In order to continue to be a safe haven for Jews from all over the world, and to continue to draw human, economic, and other capital from all over the world, the Zionist regime must continue to preserve this illusion of ‘absolute security’ within the borders of Israel (i.e. occupied Palestine).
“For this reason, and driven by this strategy, in the 1960s Israel produced dozens of nuclear warheads (as the Western countries looked the other way, and some even collaborated, such as France) – so that it would, or so it thought, attain absolute supremacy in the Middle East balance of power.
“The truth is that for Israel, not just insecurity, but even the mere sense of insecurity is deadly poison. That is why this regime focuses all its efforts on preventing what it sees as the nuclearization of Iran.
“Israeli officials are well aware of what nuclear weapons mean and of the scope of their deterrence. They know well that using nuclear weapons as deterrence in a first strike capacity means mutual destruction if the other side has them as well. Thus, it cannot be assumed that a country that has nuclear weapons will use them against another country (particularly if that country also has them).
“Nevertheless, Israel’s excessive concern vis-à-vis Iran’s nuclear activity, and the propaganda against Iran’s peaceful activity, is completely unjustified, except for the issue above – namely the damage to the sense of absolute security within the borders of this regime.”
“An Iran with Nuclear Weapons Means an End to the Dream of ‘Secure Israel’”
“The truth is that Israel knows very well that even if Iran obtains nuclear weapons, it will never use them except in self-defense, in the event of a non-conventional or nuclear attack. Rather, Iran’s possession of such weapons will sow in Israel a sense of insecurity – and this sense alone will be enough to shatter the glass palace of this illegitimate regime in the Middle East.
“An Iran with nuclear weapons means an end to the dream of ’secure Israel’ – and this means the exodus of most of the residents of this occupied land (who immigrated there for absolute security and for jobs). This exodus will include human, financial, and other capital, and therefore will be a death sentence for this regime.
“Thus, [it can be concluded that] the [worldwide] Iranophobia project is actually a Zionist activity aimed at covering its Achilles heel without acknowledging its main fear – the fear that impacts the glass palace of Israel’s absolute security. Tel Aviv is using expressions such as ‘the international community’s concern’ and others to hide its main fear.”

THIS Game is for Keeps
Written by Marty Roberts on February 21, 2010 – 11:24 am -Are we playing a hi-stakes game of chicken here? Who will blink first? Syria? Iran? The United States? I hope that it is NOT Israel…The times, they just keep on getting interestinger and interestinger…

Iranian President Ahmadinejad
MESS Report–Middle East Security Survey
Amos Harel & Avi issacharoff
If anyone still had doubts about an imminent conflict with Iran, it was removed this week by the arrival of the U.S. army chief in Israel and the threats from the Iranian president and Hezbollah secretary-general.
Something sinister is in the air.
If the international community’s collision course with Tehran leads to harsh sanctions meant to halt its nuclear program, the spring and summer months will be especially sensitive. It would be impossible to rule out a scenario in which the increasing tension leads to all-out open war. Tehran and Jerusalem regularly exchange threatening messages via various channels, but with Beirut, Gaza and Damascus in the middle, the situation is liable to get out of control.
At a time when Iran is deliberately inflaming the situation, the U.S. is seeking to cool things down. Interestingly and strangely enough, the two rivals seem to have a similar read on Israel’s current role in the drama. Both believe Israel could lose patience and implement its policy of “a leadership gone mad” that former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert took great pride in during the Second Lebanon War and Operation Cast Lead in Gaza. This belief serves as the backdrop for Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s remarks implying that Israel is readying for war (which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has steadfastly denied) and for Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah’s threats to attack strategic infrastructure in Israel.
The possibility of unleashing Israel’s “bull in a china shop” approach is also behind the recent flurry of visits from senior American officials, including the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Adm. Michael Mullen, and U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, who arrives next week. The visits are intended to explain to the Netanyahu government why an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities is unwanted at the moment ? and also to clarify what Israel seeks in return for sitting quietly and allowing the Obama administration to build an international coalition to impose sanctions on Iran.
Mullen landed here at the beginning of the week – on the hottest day of Israel’s winter – with an unambiguous warning. His visit opened with a brief press conference at the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv, to which journalists were summoned on short notice, and that was characterized by something of a culture clash. Some of the Israeli journalists showed up in T-shirts, and Mullen seemed a bit surprised by the casual atmosphere and by the strident tone of the questions.
Despite this, he stuck to the message he was sent here to convey: that he is concerned by the “unexpected consequences” of an Israeli attack on Iran. Mullen’s remarks, made in public even before his first meeting with his Israeli hosts, immediately dictated the tone of Israeli media would adopt to cover his visit.
In recent weeks, especially since its announcement that it has begun production of 20-percent-enriched uranium, Iran has not even bothered to claim its nuclear program is intended for peaceful means, as it had in the past. Iran’s true intentions are clear to everyone from Washington to London to Beijing. China, however, is more concerned about its oil supply than the Iranian threat, and sees its refusal to impose sanctions as an effective means of challenging U.S. power.
It’s possible the concern over an Israeli strike has come too soon. Israel will only attack as a last resort. But if Iran continues its enrichment and the U.S. fails to consolidate sanctions, or if the sanctions are ineffective down the line, the military option becomes more relevant. In this case, Israel also has more legitimacy to act in self-defense and cannot be blamed for the failure of diplomacy.
This week, Nasrallah broadcast another message from his bunker and, for the first time, mentioned the “axis of evil.” He warned of a four-pronged attack against Israel by Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas ? which those parties have avoided outlining explicitly until now in an effort to maintain the appearance of independence. At the same time, Nasrallah presented Hezbollah’s planned response to Israel’s “Dahiya doctrine” (a term used to describe a conventional army targeting civilian infrastructure used by terrorists) by saying his group would destroy Ben-Gurion International Airport and attack Tel Aviv.

Ayatollah Khamenei: Nukes against our religion
Supreme Leader: Iran has no belief in atom bombs
Tehran, Feb 19, IRNA (Iran news agency) – Supreme Leader of Islamic
Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said Iran has not the least belief
in making nuclear bombs.“We have said times and again that our religious beliefs and fundamentals
consider nuclear weapons as a symbol of annihilation of generations, thus
forbidding them.
Accordingly we do not have the least belief in gaining nuclear arms,” said
Ayatollah Khamenei in an address to ceremonies, marking launching of
`Jamaran’ destroyer into the southern Bandar-Abbas waters. The Supreme Leader said the claims of the US President Barack Obama and
several other US officials over recent days are all signs of their anger and
mishap over Iranian nation.“The threadbare and vain claims that nuclear arms are being made in Iran
indicate that enemies of the nation have resorted to repetition even in the
field of propaganda out of extreme helplessness. In response to such vain
claims, the Islamic Republic of Iran will not fall into emotions because we
have repeatedly said that our religious ideas and beliefs consider such
weapons, which are the symbols of mankind degeneration, forbidden and
“Haram” (religiously prohibited). Due to the same reason, we do not have the
least belief in nuclear arms and bombs and do not go after them.”The Supreme Leader made the remarks here on Friday after launching of
`Jamaran’ destroyer into Bandar-Abbas waters in the Persian Gulf.Ayatollah Khamenei said there will be times more valuable and magnificent
works in the field of navy construction in Iran in the future. The Supreme
Leader noted, “Some causes might initially seem to be ambitious but under
high endeavors, overshadowed by faith and trust, any seemingly impossible
goal will be possible. By the same token, definitely future works in the
field of navy construction will prove to be more giant and valuable.”The Supreme Leader said Islam and Islamic Republic will not allow
degradation of Iran and Iranians’ potentialities, dignity and fame
worldwide. The Supreme Leader recalled hundreds of years of navy industry background in
Iran and said domination of the corrupt and despotic rulers over the country
over the past centuries have made the country weak in the field.Hailing high public turnout in the Bahman 22 (February 11) rallies,
Ayatollah Khamenei said that on such an unforgettable day, tens of millions
of people in chorus chanted their hatred of the arrogant powers, insisting
on their Islamic faith and dignity. “Such a beautiful and everlasting fact
had made the
hegemonic powers, especially the US, bewildered, disappointed and angry.”
