“The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the Root of All the Problems in the Middle East”…WRONG!!!

Written by Marty Roberts on February 7, 2011 – 11:24 am -

Another Middle Eastern myth…busted…

Cairo protests

Cairo protests

The rioting, revolution and unrest in the Arab Middle East is at the top of most newscasts these days…and with good reason.

The potential outcome of regime change in pro-Western, Israel-tolerating Arab nations, like Egypt and Jordan, may, indeed, be earth-shattering. The likelihood of some REALLY bad guys (the Muslim Brotherhood) taking control of the largest Arab country in the Middle East (Egypt), not to mention this anti-American, Israel-hating militant group taking control of the largest, strongest, American-built Army in the Middle East is more than scary…think, ARMAGEDDON…

But one key point stands out amidst all the turmoil…

Did you notice, not once, ever, any time, anywhere has the issue of the palestinians been even whispered in connection to the Arab discontent in the region…not even ONCE…

The truth is, the Arab world could not care less about the “plight” of their palestinian “brethren”…witness the lack of true aid to the people, other than supporting the families of murderers of Jews…witness the lack of support for true peace with Israel, which can only help the Arabs living in Israel. The palestinian issue is conveniently used as an excuse for the Arab nations’ hatred of the Jewish State and their plans for her destruction.

General Petraus, the US State Department and President Barak Obama and Co. might want to reconsider their fantasy-based Middle East policy. Their presumption that all will be fine and dandy in the Middle East just as soon as the Israeli-palestinian conflict is resolved is a very BIG mistake. They are putting all their eggs in the wrong basket, basing the entire Western world’s Middle East policy on a gigantic error.

Time for the West to wake up to reality…things are not always what they seem to be…or necessarily what you WANT them to be…no matter how much wish them to be that way…

In the Middle East, Things Are RARELY What They Seem to Be

Written by Marty Roberts on June 15, 2010 – 1:25 pm -

Lovers of Peace…Be Careful What You Wish For!!…

New Show/Podcast!!!

middle east region

The Middle East..What You Think is Rarely True

Israel’s Arab neighbors are indifferent to the possibility of a nuclear-armed Iran, right? WRONG!!…And they are ready to help arch-enemy ISRAEL stop the mullahs,,,
The palestinians are united in their desire for a new homeland…of course!!…Wrong again…Listen to the facts and the historical reasons why…
All of the nations of the Middle East (except Israel, of course) are united in their desire to support the palestinians and have them achieve their goal of an independent state…Well, right…except that NONE of them want it to happen!!!…Listen to understand why the Middle East countries would like nothing better that to NEVER see the creation of a palestinian state, Islamist or otherwise (with the possible exception of Syria, who simply could not care less one way or the other)
Finally, everyone would agree that the blockade on Gaza MUST be removed…Gaza MUST be opened up, correct?…Well, yes, everybody, that is, except for the countries in the MIddle East, like Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and, oh yeah, don’t forget the ruling palestinian Fatah Party themselves.

So, if you really want peace, if you really hate war…better be careful about your campaign to open up Gaza…Better be careful about allowing the current delicate balance of power in the Middle East to be upset…In short…Pray for Israel’s strength…

Why An American-Imposed Israeli-Palestinian “Diplomatic Solution” is a Bad Idea…VERY Bad…For EVERYONE

Written by Marty Roberts on April 15, 2010 – 11:51 am -

New Show/Podcast!!!

Bad for Israel, bad for the Arabs, bad for the Americans…Even bad for the palestinians…

Even Obama and Clinton seem to be finally getting the message, even backing off their previous stance of imposing an “agreement” on Israel, including retreat to the pre-1967 borders, division of Jerusalem and surrender of Israeli control of the Jordan Valley. Israelis and palestinians alike are massively against accepting the American initiative, obviously, for different reasons. And it’s a good thing, given America’s dismal past track-record of imposing defeat on Israel. The show explains just how terrible an American-imposed arrangement would be for everyone in the region…and just how terrible the outcome could be for the Americans…Plus…Why it is so strategically important to restore good relations between Israel and the U.S….Especially for the Americans…All this and more on “The Marty Roberts Show”…

When It Comes to Israel, Especially Jerusalem…Please, Don’t confuse Me With The Facts

Written by Marty Roberts on March 17, 2010 – 1:23 pm -

All the international outrage, the rioting Arabs, the crisis in US-Israel diplomatic relations, the redresses of Israel by American high officials…all based on a mistake?
The outrage is that Israel has announced new building in her capital, Jerusalem. The world says it is EAST Jerusalem, hence, occupied territories and, therefore, illegal.
Whether or not Israel building in East Jerusalem is illegal, they might first want to be sure that all the uproar is about building in East Jerusalem…which it is NOT!!!!!
We’re talking “no man’s land” here, NOT East Jerusalem. This is what the official documents signed by Israel and Jordan in 1949 stated. The land was NEVER even under Jordanian control, hence, was never in dispute.
Maybe Israel should be throwing the ARABS out of this area…but Israel does’nt do that sort of thing…
Ramat Shlomo

Ramat Shlomo in No man’s Land – Not Eastern Jerusalem

Ramat Shlomo in No man’s Land – Not Eastern Jerusalem

Makor Rishon correspondent Arial Kahaneh reports in today’s edition that a
check of the maps signed by representatives of Israel and Jordan on 4 March
1949 in Rhodes finds that Ramat Shlomo is located in “No Man’s Land” rather
than in territory that at the time was designated as being under Jordanian
control.

Among areas having the same “No Man’s Land” status are Kfar Ruth. Shilat,
Lapid, Neveh Shalom (the Arab-Israeli community) part of the Tel
Aviv-Jerusalem highway route 1, Mini Israel and Ramot.

Protecting Innocent Civilians From Violent Rioters is NOT Provocation

Written by Marty Roberts on March 1, 2010 – 10:35 am -

If using your police on your sovereign territory to disperse rock-throwing criminals who are threatening bodily harm to religious worshipers and visiting tourists is a provocation…Provoke away, Israel!!!
And why is Israel giving in to pressure from Jordan, anyway???
Abbas and Abdullah

Jordan condemns raid on holy Jerusalem site as provocation, Jordanian diplomacy succeeds in getting Israeli police out of Al Aqsa compound

Amman, Feb.28(Petra- Jordan news agency)– Jordan condemned as a provocation
Israeli forces who stormed Al Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem on Sunday
and said such actions would undermine efforts to restart the
Palestinian-Israeli peace process.

Reprinted from IMRA

Israeli police opened the Bab Al Maghareba Gate early today for the entry of
zionist extremists to the holy compound touching off a confrontation with
Muslim worshippers.

About 20 protesters were wounded by soldiers who used tear gas and rubber
bullets.

“Jordan rejects any attempt by Israeli occupation forces to harm holy sites
in the Palestinian territories,” State Minister for Media Affairs and
Communication Nabil Sharif told Petra.

“Storming Al Aqsa is an affront to the will of the international community
and such action will impede efforts to kickstart the peace process to
achieve stability in the region and set up an independent, sovereign and
viable Palestinian state,” Sharif added.

The minister said that repeated Israeli assaults on the compound in the old
city of Jerusalem were designed to provoke millions of Arabs and Muslims.

Condemnation of the latest attack on worshippers also came from a number of
officials and academics, who said it was a further evidence that Israel is
in violations of international laws and conventions.

They called on Arab and Islamic countries to shoulder their responsibility
in defending Islamic holy places in Jerusalem and the occupied territories.

“This arbitrary Israeli measure is a stark evidence that Israeli occupation
authorities, headed by the right-wing government, continue such measures in
total disregard of religious norms, international law, the Fourth Geneva
Convention and U.N Security Council resolutions,” said Abdullah Kanan,
Secretary General of the Royal Jordanian committee for Jerusalem Affairs.

Amman, Feb.

28(Petra)– Upon directives from His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Jordanian
diplomacy moved effectively and rapidly on Sunday to get Israeli police out
of Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh said Sunday.

”King Abdullah instructed us to move at all levels to protest Israel’s
unilateral measure and to totally reject Israeli police thrust into the holy
site,” Judeh added in a statement to Petra.

“We interfered through our embassy in Tel Aviv and contacted all the
concerned parties in Israel”, he added noting that these diplomatic efforts
have led to getting Israeli police personnel out of Al Aqsa compound and all
the gates leading to Al Aqsa Mosque were opened for Muslim worshippers.

The Palestinians who staged an overnight sat-in inside Al Aqsa were also
allowed to leave through an arrangement with the Awqaf Department in
Jerusalem, he said.

Meanwhile, Jordan made its protest to the Israeli authorities for using
force against Palestinians in the old city and around Al Aqsa compound, the
Minister noted.

Wake Up and Smell the Preparation H, Your Royal Highness, King of Jordan

Written by Marty Roberts on March 1, 2010 – 10:24 am -

Now the “king” of Jordan is getting into the act. BTW, his dynasty extends all the way back, almost 100 whole years!!!. A dynasty created by the occupying Europeans of the Middle East to try and get some stability in the wacked out countries being run by wandering nomads. Some royal line…For sure Abdullah is afraid of the power of the more than 60% of his country made up of palestinians…That’s why JORDAN was supposed to be and SHOULD be the palestinian state, not Israel. Anyway…Given the fact that the Al Aqusa mosque is sitting on the holiest site in Judaism, and Israel lets it remain there, I don’t quite get just what is provocative in Israel’s behavior…We just declared sites in Hebron and Bethlehem Jewish Heritage sites, nothing at all in “east” Jerusalem…we don’t even conduct the archeological excavations that SHOULD be carried out on the temple mount, due to Muslim “sensitivities”. Time to get real, Your Highness….(snicker, snicker)
Abbas and Abdullah

King of Jordan: Protect holy sites from Israel

In meeting with Abbas in Amman, King Abdullah warns of ‘dangerous consequences of provocative Israeli moves and aggressive acts against al-Aqsa Mosque.’ He adds that steps taken ‘constitute dangerous provocation that threatens efforts to achieve regional peace’

Reprinted from Ynetnews Roee Nahmias

Israel’s eastern neighbor makes a call for action: King Abdullah of Jordan said Sunday that the international community must take immediate measures to protect the holy sites in east Jerusalem from unilateral moves on Israel’s part.

According to him, Israel’s moves seek to alter Jerusalem’s identity and constitute a dangerous provocation that threatens all efforts invested in achieving regional peace.

Jordan’s official news agency, Petra, reported that during a meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Amman the Jordanian king warned against “the dangerous consequences of provocative Israeli moves and acts of aggression against the al-Aqsa Mosque – moves with Jordan condemns.”

King Abdullah emphasized that his country will continue to invest efforts in protecting the holy sites in Jerusalem. In addition, Abdullah highlighted Jordan’s rejection and rebuke of Israel’s decision to include Rachel’s Tomb and the Cave of the Patriarchs on its list of national heritage sites.

During the meeting – which was attended by senior Jordanian officials, including Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh, and senior Palestinians, including their head of negotiation team Saeb Erekat – the two sides discussed efforts being put forth in order to overcome the hurdles to renewing the Israeli-Palestinian peace process on the basis of a two-state solution, a set timetable, and the Arab Peace Initiative.

The Jordanian king reiterated his country’s support for the Palestinian Authority and efforts to reinstate the rights of the Palestinian people, particularly their right to an independent country.
