Video of the Weapons Cache Found on the Free Gaza Flotilla’s Marmara Ship of Death
Written by Marty Roberts on June 2, 2010 – 12:22 pm -Maybe the “humanitarians” on these ships thought that they needed a weapons cache to defend themselves from food and medicine thieves…More likely, they wanted violent clashes with the Israeli authorities…which they provoked and got…
Weapons, including knives, Molotov cocktails, detonators, wood and metal
clubs, slingshots and rocks, large hammers and sharp metal objects. In
addition, gas masks were found, pointing to the prior intention of the ship’s
passengers to use violence against IDF soldiers who would then be forced to
use riot dispersal methods.

After IDF soldiers succeeded in stopping the attack against them by
passengers on board the Mavi Marmara ship, the ship was brought to the
Ashdod port and arrived in the late hours of Monday evening (May 31).
Flotilla participants were brought off the ship and taken for questioning.Once the activists left the ship, security forces began a thorough search
and found a supply of weapons, including knives, Molotov cocktails,
detonators, wood and metal clubs, slingshots and rocks, large hammers and
sharp metal objects. In addition, gas masks were found, pointing to the
prior intention of the ship’s passengers to use violence against IDF
soldiers who would then be forced to use riot dispersal methods. The Mavi Marmara was the last among the flotilla ships to arrive on Monday
to Ashdod. Beforehand, the other five ships participating in the flotilla
arrived. Unlike the Mavi Marmara, passengers on board the other ships
cooperated with the security forces. The removal of passengers from the
ships was secured by Israeli Police special forces, headed by the Yamam
Special Police Unit, in addition to Military Policemen and naval officers
who assisted in escorting the passengers to the security examination site
set up in the Ashdod port.In this security check, personnel from the Oz Unit of the Ministry of the
Interior waited for the passengers of the flotilla, and verified the
identification of the passengers using their passports. Some of the
passengers were arrested and some deported. Due to the extremely violent
attack by passengers on board the Mavi Marmara against IDF soldiers, these
passengers were detained for questioning at the port.Among the IDF representatives who arrived to the Ashdod port throughout the
day were Deputy Chief of the General Staff Maj. Gen. Benny Gantz, Head of
the Operations Directorate Maj. Gen. Tal Roso, GOC of the Southern Command
Maj. Gen. Yoav Galent and GOC of the Home Front Command, Maj. Gen. Yair
Golan.

In Less Than 5 Years, Iran Should be Able to Deliver an Atomic Bomb to American Soil…NOW Will You Do Something, Obama?
Written by Marty Roberts on April 21, 2010 – 2:39 pm -Even the U.S. seems to be awakening to the fact that it is only a matter of time…not only until Iran owns nuclear weapons, but also owns the means to drop an atomic bomb on American soil…
Apparently, the Iranian threat to the existence of the Jewish State of Israel is not adequate incentive for Obama and Co. to do something serious to destroy Iran’s nuclear capability…
Will an imminent threat to the safety and security of America’s homeland be enough reason for the ex-radical president of the U.S. to take military action against Iran’s atomic bomb program????
Or, just maybe, might he at least, give the green light for Israel to get the job done?…

Report: Iranian Missile Could Reach U.S. by 2015
U.S. Defense Department report also says Iranians have gone to great lengths to protect its nuclear infrastructure from physical destruction including using buried and hardened facilities.
Reprinted from Foxnews.com Mike Emanual
“With sufficient foreign assistance, Iran could probably develop and test an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) capable of reaching the United States by 2015,” says a new 12 page unclassified report prepared by the Department of Defense on the Iran Military Threat.
The report says Iran’s military strategy is designed to defend against external or “hard” threats from the United States and Israel. “Iran’s nuclear program and its willingness to keep open the possibility to develop nuclear weapons is a central part of its deterrent strategy,” according to the report.
Iran continues being a disruptive force inside Iraq. “Iran continues to provide money, weapons and training to select Iraqi Shia militants despite pledges by senior Iranian officials to stop such support,” the report says. “Iran also offers strategic and operational guidance to militias and terrorist groups to target U.S. Forces in Iraq and undermine U.S. interests.”
It also outlines what Defense Secretary Robert Gates has called Tehran playing a “double game” inside Afghanistan. The regime makes big promises to the Afghan government trying to appear to be a good neighbor, and is also sending weapons into the country, and backing a wide range of groups so “it will have a positive relationship with the eventual leaders.”
Regarding the effectiveness of Iranian Conventional Forces, “Iran maintains very sizeable military forces, but they would be relatively ineffective against a direct assault by well trained, sophisticated military such as that of the United States or its allies.”
It does judge Iran’s unconventional forces, which include paramilitary forces, “would present a formidable force on Iranian territory.”
The report outlines Iran’s nuclear weapons capabilities and developments saying it is “keeping open the option to develop nuclear weapons,” which is consistent with what we’ve heard from a wide range of U.S. officials. It says the Iranians have gone to great lengths to protect its nuclear infrastructure from physical destruction including using buried and hardened facilities.
The final aspects of the report review the regime’s efforts to improve ballistic and cruise missile capabilities.
The Secretary of Defense is required as part of the National Defense Authorization Act to submit a classified and unclassified report on the current and future military strategy of Iran.

With Friends Like the English…Who Needs Enemies?
Written by Marty Roberts on April 6, 2010 – 2:43 pm -As General elections are called in Great Britain, is this just one more instance of anti-Israel fervor being stirred up by British parliamentarians presumably looking to win the significant Muslim vote?…or maybe they just really don’t like Israel…
Doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense to sell weapons to your ally and then specify that these weapons NOT be used in defending your allied country’s citizens…Or maybe Great Britain does not consider stopping eight years of daily rocket, missile and mortar attacks on Israel’s civilian population a valid expression of Israel’s right to self-defense???
I always DID have a bit of a problem with British logic, being American and all…

Ministers must learn “broader lessons” about ensuring the ban on the trade in such products for use in Gaza and the West Bank is enforced, a report adds. The MPs said it was “regrettable” that UK arms sold to Israel were “almost certainly” used in Gaza in 2008.
However, they said the UK provided less than 1% of arms exported to Israel.
Rocket attacks
The Commons Committees on Arms Export Controls – made up of members of other select committees – questioned ministers on the state of the military equipment trade.
It heard that arms deals with Israel had been looked at on a “case-by-case basis”, rather than the UK government imposing an embargo.
Five licences had been revoked since Operation Cast Lead, launched by Israel in December 2008.
The Israeli armed forces launched a 22-day offensive in the Gaza Strip, bombing Palestinian cities before sending in ground troops – in response, Israel said, to Hamas rocket attacks on southern Israel.
After this, Hamas launched its rockets in increased numbers at Israeli towns near the Gaza Strip, before agreeing to a ceasefire.
Palestinians and rights groups say more than 1,400 Gazans died in the conflict but Israel puts the figure at 1,166. Thirteen Israelis, including three civilians, were killed.
A report issued in September 2009 by the UN Human Rights Commission found that Israel and Hamas, the militant group that runs Gaza, had committed war crimes during the conflict.
In their report, the MPs said: “We repeat our conclusion that it is regrettable that arms exports to Israel were almost certainly used in Operation Cast Lead.
“This is in direct contravention to the UK government’s policy that UK arms exports to Israel should not be used in the occupied territories.
“We further conclude that the revoking of five UK arms exports licences to Israel since Cast Lead is welcome, but that broader lessons must be learned from the post-conflict review to ensure that UK arms exports to Israel are not used in the occupied territories in future.
“We recommend that the government, in its response to this report, set out clearly the longer term lessons learnt post-Operation Cast Lead and how they will impact in practice on the issuing of future licences for arms exports to Israel.”
‘Take Gaza into account’
In evidence to the MPs in April last year, Bill Rammell, then a Foreign Office minister, said the government had not authorised any exports relating to F-16 jets, helicopters or armoured personnel carriers for Israel since the conflict in Lebanon in 2006.
He also said that “all of these export decisions were in accordance with the criteria on that information that we had available at the time”.
But Foreign Secretary David Miliband made a statement on 21 April last year, in which he said the F-16s and Apache helicopters used by Israeli forces during Operation Cast Lead had “almost certainly” contained British-supplied components.
In their report, the MPs said: “The government stated it would take the conflict in Gaza into account in assessing all future licence applications.”
They added: “The government wrote to the committees in July 2009 with an update on the review of 182 extant licences to Israel.
“It decided to revoke five licences for equipment to the Israeli Navy. It stated that there was no evidence that the decision to revoke those licences has had any impact on the UK’s defence relationship with either the USA or Israel.”
The Campaign Against the Arms Trade, which also gave evidence to the MPs, said it was “virtually impossible to guarantee that any military equipment supplied to the Israeli government will not be used in the occupied territories”.
It called for an embargo on arms and components going to Israel, both directly and through use in weapons produced in other countries and then sold on to Israel.
The campaign said the government had licensed arms exports worth between £10m and £30m a year for export directly to Israel over the past few years.
During 2008, licences for goods worth more than £27.5m had been approved, it added, while the UK had sold components used in weapons exported to Israel by US suppliers.
In evidence in January this year, Foreign Office Minister Ivan Lewis said there would “not be any arms embargo against Israel” as the government was “firmly of the view that Israel faces real threats”.
Israeli tanks advanced briefly into the Gaza Strip at the weekend, following clashes in which two Israeli soldiers and two Palestinian militants died.
It is the first time Israeli soldiers have died in Gaza since Operation Cast Lead.

With Modern Weapons Going to the Arabs..Good Thing Israel Has G-d in Her Corner
Written by Marty Roberts on February 24, 2010 – 10:03 am -I guess money talks…or, more likely, European arms dealers are more than happy to see Israel’s enemies get stronger and stronger. The Saudis are not exactly friends of the Jewish State, although they often masquerade as such when it suits their interests in wooing the United states. Good thing Israel has G-d in her corner…

Ayatollah Khamenei: Nukes against our religion
Supreme Leader: Iran has no belief in atom bombs
Tehran, Feb 19, IRNA (Iran news agency) – Supreme Leader of Islamic
Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said Iran has not the least belief
in making nuclear bombs.“We have said times and again that our religious beliefs and fundamentals
consider nuclear weapons as a symbol of annihilation of generations, thus
forbidding them.
Accordingly we do not have the least belief in gaining nuclear arms,” said
Ayatollah Khamenei in an address to ceremonies, marking launching of
`Jamaran’ destroyer into the southern Bandar-Abbas waters. The Supreme Leader said the claims of the US President Barack Obama and
several other US officials over recent days are all signs of their anger and
mishap over Iranian nation.“The threadbare and vain claims that nuclear arms are being made in Iran
indicate that enemies of the nation have resorted to repetition even in the
field of propaganda out of extreme helplessness. In response to such vain
claims, the Islamic Republic of Iran will not fall into emotions because we
have repeatedly said that our religious ideas and beliefs consider such
weapons, which are the symbols of mankind degeneration, forbidden and
“Haram” (religiously prohibited). Due to the same reason, we do not have the
least belief in nuclear arms and bombs and do not go after them.”The Supreme Leader made the remarks here on Friday after launching of
`Jamaran’ destroyer into Bandar-Abbas waters in the Persian Gulf.Ayatollah Khamenei said there will be times more valuable and magnificent
works in the field of navy construction in Iran in the future. The Supreme
Leader noted, “Some causes might initially seem to be ambitious but under
high endeavors, overshadowed by faith and trust, any seemingly impossible
goal will be possible. By the same token, definitely future works in the
field of navy construction will prove to be more giant and valuable.”The Supreme Leader said Islam and Islamic Republic will not allow
degradation of Iran and Iranians’ potentialities, dignity and fame
worldwide. The Supreme Leader recalled hundreds of years of navy industry background in
Iran and said domination of the corrupt and despotic rulers over the country
over the past centuries have made the country weak in the field.Hailing high public turnout in the Bahman 22 (February 11) rallies,
Ayatollah Khamenei said that on such an unforgettable day, tens of millions
of people in chorus chanted their hatred of the arrogant powers, insisting
on their Islamic faith and dignity. “Such a beautiful and everlasting fact
had made the
hegemonic powers, especially the US, bewildered, disappointed and angry.”
